How Vlerick brings its campuses closer to international potential customers

Overview

Winning over the hearts of new students, often internationally, means being able to show them what campus life is all about. What can they expect from the different campuses? What is the staff like? And how can they better navigate the campus on arrival? 

 

Vlerick business School partnered with 3-DEE to create a two-in-one solution: A virtual campus tour for fresh, prospective students and a way to capture and follow up on leads more easily.



Challenges

Navigating campus size

With big and multiple campuses, students and staff members struggle to find their way around the campus, especially newcomers or those with classes on different campuses.

 

 

Limited physical campus visits

Due to geographical constraints, some prospective students are not able to visit the campus during open door days. As a result, they don’t know what to expect from the student life, staff and campus and can’t feel the vibes of the university.

 

 

Fair engagement and lead generation

At fairs, it can be challenging for visitors to visualize what the exhibitor is exposing without a visual aid. In addition, for Vlerick it’s also hard to collect leads and build their database with interested parties.

 

Solution

3-DEE interactive tour

  • Virtual campus exploration: the 3-DEE tour allows prospective students to walk through the campus virtually wherever they are whenever they want, with integrated videos, text and clickable objects to inform, inspire and engage the viewer about the campus including some highlights.
  • Professor introductions: thanks to the integrated videos and testimonials, prospective students have the possibility to have an informal introduction to professors which lowers their barrier to apply at one of the campuses.
  • Student testimonials and behind-the-scenes: to make it as authentic and real as possible testimonials and behind-the-scenes content from current students were also integrated in the tour. 

Lead generation & visualization

  • QR code integration: Sharing the QR code with the link to the 3-DEE tour during fairs makes it easy to access the campus visit, enabling visitors to explore the campus on their devices and revisiting the experience later whenever they want to. Prospective students can even share it easily with their family and friends.
  • Integrated lead generation solutions: the integrate lead generation tools within the 3-DEE tour, enhance engagement and facilitate the possibility to collect data at fairs.  
  • Interactive explanations: during fairs, staff members use the 3-DEE tour as a visual aid, allowing them to showcase their campus and engage visitors effectively by giving them a memorable experience.

Path Finder

  • Efficient campus navigation: the integrated path finder simplifies campus navigation for students and staff members especially when they are new or having classes at other campuses. 
  • Onboarding support: additional procedures, explanations, safety information within the 3-DEE tour were added, guiding users on common tasks such as badge retrieval. This way a smooth onboarding process is ensured
